Photography business off to a good start

2010 is off to a good start, after a dismal December, (and most of 2009!) I've bid on 4 jobs that seem to me to be an indication of an increase in confidence in the economy, and the recognition of the need to promote now, instead of pulling back or protecting reserves. All were commercial construction or remodeling projects, a church run community Center, a community newspaper, a church run school, and a casino! Of course a casino is a safe bet in any economy if my cynical estimation of human nature is accurate! And the cherry on top is that all of them will be fun to shoot!

I had no idea photographers had to bid, like say builders. Hope you win all four. I checked out your work and you sure deserve to.

Well I don't like too! But people in that industry are used to bidding/estimating as a process and they like it. Its hard to objectively price work that is so subjective.
It's great when you can have fun and enjoyment as you work.
I too, didn't realize that there was a bidding process for photographers.
